Invite team members, manage roles, and understand seat limits per plan

Sift supports multiple users per organisation. The number of seats available depends on your plan.

Roles

Each team member has one of three roles:

RolePermissions
OwnerFull access — billing, settings, invitations, all data
AdminInvite/remove members, manage agent config and properties
AgentView leads, conversations, and calendar. Cannot change settings

Inviting a Team Member

You must be an Owner or Admin to invite team members.

Click Settings in the sidebar, then select the Team tab.

Click the Invite Member button.

Type the email address and select a role (Admin or Agent).

Click Send Invite. The recipient receives an email with a link to join your organisation.

The invite expires after 7 days. If the recipient doesn't accept in time, resend it from the Pending Invites section.

If your plan's seat limit is reached, the Invite button is disabled. Upgrade your plan or remove an inactive member to free up a seat.

Pending Invites

The Pending Invites section shows users who have been invited but haven't accepted yet. You can:

  • Resend the invite email
  • Cancel the invite

Removing a Team Member

Go to Settings → Team and locate the member in the list.

Click the Remove button next to their name. Confirm in the modal.

Removing a member immediately revokes their access. Any leads, conversations, or appointments they managed remain in your account.

Changing a Member's Role

Go to Settings → Team.

Click the role dropdown next to the member's name and select the new role.

Only Owners can change another member's role to Owner.

Seat Limits

If you reach your plan's seat limit:

  • The Invite button is disabled in the dashboard
  • The API returns a seat_limit_reached error on POST /api/team/invite

To add more members, upgrade your plan from the Billing page.
