Leads
The Leads page shows everyone who has chatted with your AI agent. Each lead includes their contact info, qualification score, and conversation summary.
Lead Table
Each row in the lead table shows:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Lead's name (extracted from conversation, or "Anonymous" if not provided) |
| Score | Hot 🔥, Warm 🟡, or Cold 🔵 — based on conversation signals |
| Phone / Email | Contact info shared during the conversation |
| Source | Where the lead came from (Web Widget, SMS, or Email) |
| Date | When the conversation started |
| Summary | AI-generated summary of what the lead is looking for |
Click any lead row to expand and see the full conversation history and extracted details.
Lead Scoring Badges
| Badge | Score | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 🔥 Hot | 70–100 | Ready to buy — budget confirmed, timeline within 3 months, specific property preferences |
| 🟡 Warm | 40–69 | Interested — some specifics but missing key signals like budget or timeline |
| 🔵 Cold | 0–39 | Browsing — vague requirements, no timeline, or disengaged early |
For details on how scoring works, see Lead Scoring.
UK Qualification Signals
Each lead card shows four UK-specific signal badges when the agent extracted them:
| Badge | Values |
|---|---|
| Chain | Chain-free · Single chain · In chain |
| Mortgage | Cash (proven) · DIP held · Application pending · Exploring |
| Scheme | Help to Buy · Shared Ownership · First Homes |
| SDLT | First-time buyer · Main residence · Second home · Non-resident |
These fields are also included in the CSV export.
Conversation Summaries
Each lead gets an AI-generated summary of their conversation. For returning leads (those who chat more than once), the summary is updated to reflect the latest interaction, so you always see the most current context.
Exporting Leads as CSV
On the Leads page, click the Export button in the top-right corner.
A CSV file downloads immediately with all your leads. The file includes:
- Name, email, phone
- Lead score and score label
- Source (web, sms, email)
- Chain status, mortgage status, buyer scheme, SDLT position
- Conversation summary
- Date created
Lead Detail Drawer
Click any row in the lead table to open the Lead Detail Drawer — a side panel with extended information and actions for that lead.
Inline Notes
The Notes field lets you add free-text annotations to a lead — useful for recording context after a phone call or client meeting. Notes are private to your organisation and are not shown to the lead.
- Open the lead drawer
- Click in the Notes field
- Type your note and click Save
Notes are included in the CSV export alongside the conversation summary.
Status Override
By default, a lead's status (Hot/Warm/Cold) is set automatically by the AI. You can override it manually:
- Open the lead drawer
- Click the Status dropdown
- Select Hot, Warm, or Cold
A manual override takes precedence over the AI score until the lead has a new conversation, at which point the AI score may update it again.
Export Single Lead (CSV)
You can export a single lead's full record as a CSV row without exporting the entire leads list:
- Open the lead drawer
- Click Export
- A CSV file downloads with that lead's data
Erase Lead (GDPR)
The Erase action permanently deletes a lead's personal data from Sift — name, email, phone, conversation transcripts, and extracted fields. This satisfies a right-to-erasure request under UK GDPR.
Erasure is permanent and irreversible. The lead record is replaced with anonymised placeholders. You cannot recover the data after confirmation.
- Open the lead drawer
- Click Erase Lead
- Confirm in the modal — type ERASE and click confirm
After erasure, the row remains in the leads table as an anonymised record (to preserve your lead count metrics) but all personal data is removed.
For more on GDPR compliance, see GDPR and Lead Data.
Filtering and Searching
Use the search bar at the top to filter leads by name, email, or phone number. You can also sort by date or score by clicking the column headers.
