Usage Tracking
Monitor your credit consumption across channels
Usage Tracking
The Billing page shows how many credits you've used this month across web chat, email, and SMS. Sift sends alerts when you're running low.
Viewing Your Usage
- Click Billing in the sidebar
- The usage section shows:
- Credits used — current count vs. your plan's monthly allowance (e.g., 4,200 / 5,000)
- Credits remaining — what's left this month
- Channel breakdown — how credits were spent across web chat, email, and SMS
The credits remaining figure is also visible at the bottom of the sidebar for quick reference.
Credits are spent at 1 per web-chat message, 2 per email, 20 per SMS — see Credits, Top-ups & Auto-Recharge.
Usage Alerts
Sift sends email notifications at two thresholds:
| Threshold | Alert |
|---|---|
| 80% used | "You've used 80% of your monthly credits. Consider upgrading or buying a top-up pack." |
| 100% used | "You've used all your monthly credits. Your agent has paused sending. Buy a top-up or wait for the monthly reset." |
Monthly Reset
Your credit allowance resets on the 1st of each month. Unused credits do not roll over. Purchased top-up packs are also consumed within the period — they don't carry forward.
Per-Lead Daily Limit
To prevent a single lead from consuming all your credits (e.g., a bot or someone testing), Sift enforces a daily message limit per lead. Once a lead reaches this limit, they're asked to continue the conversation tomorrow.
This protects your monthly budget while still allowing normal conversations.
